Renovating Our Parish Hall/Ministry Center Space
for Parish and New Rector’s Usage
Construction crews have been very busy in our Parish Hall over the past several weeks, and there is a lot to show for it! As we began our Rector search, a common refrain was that parishioners wanted easier access to him or her. Parishioners hoped to have the Rector based again in the Ministry Center (the front entrance to the Parish Hall) rather than through the school office. Also, the Parish needed designated meeting space for church groups and space for future Sunday School and nursery demands.
With the tremendous support of the school, renovations of the Ministry Center have made it possible to address these needs. The project includes a new office for the Rector, a large and permanently set up meeting space and an office space for support of the Rector. Additionally, our Mommy’s Morning Out program will move to the space formerly occupied by Episcopal Charities. The space is divided into two rooms and will be dual purposed for Sunday School use.
Did You Forget?
If you haven’t turned in your Church Pledge for the fiscal year, July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023 please do so now. The Vestry will be preparing the budget over the next 30 days. Having an accurate pledge total is crucial to preparing a realistic budget. You may make your pledge online at https://saintmarksftl.com/pledge-online/. Pledge cards are also available at the entrance of the Church. Thank you for supporting Saint Mark’s.
Usher Volunteers- Wanted!
Please contact Terry Gaw, tagaw@aol.com, if you are interested in serving as an usher during either the 8:00 am or the 10:30 am service. Terry often ushers at the 10:30 Sunday service and will be happy to speak with you about ushering. Ushers are often the first greeters to meet when they visit Saint Mark’s. The ushers’ welcome and directions are the first impressions our guests have. Ushers are key volunteers. Please volunteer and help Saint Mark’s Church grow.
