Welcome Father Grant Wiseman!
You have received a most informative letter from Senior Warden, Chuck Gregory, announcing that Father Grant Wiseman will become our new Rector. He and his wife, Heather Wiseman, will be here by August 1, 2022. Look for additional information each week in this newsletter. Those who have met Father Grant and Heather during the search and vetting process – the Search Committee, the Vestry, Dr. Taintor, the School Board Members and personnel, and other church leaders – enthusiastically await their arrival. The Bishop said, “He will love you all”. That is quite a statement.

Stewardship!
Please turn in your pledges! Pledge cards are still available on the table, at the entrance of the Church – just put them in the collection plate. Thank you. The Vestry is preparing the church budget for July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023.  An accurate pledging total is necessary to prepare a meaningful budget. You may make your pledge online at https://saintmarksftl.com/pledge-online/.
Thank You from the Pantry of Broward
Thank you to everyone who have brought food for the Pantry of Broward. Our parishioner, Kirk Bookman will have a collection container THE FIRST SUNDAY OF THE MONTH at the entrance of the Church. The next collection is SUNDAY,  JUNE 6. Perishable and nonperishable items are welcome. The Pantry’s clients receive a box of nonperishables, a bag of fresh vegetables, fruits and eggs, and milk and Cheese. Our own, Kelly Harris, helped to start the Pantry with friends; BJ Buntrock, Vera Lynne Williams, and Penny Loughan, originally in their backyard. The web page of the Pantry is www.thepantryof broward.org. It certainly has grown! What an important outreach!
Usher Volunteers- Wanted!
Please contact Terry Gaw, tagaw@aol.com, if you are interested in serving as an usher during either the 8:00 am or the 10:30 am service. Terry often ushers at the 10:30 Sunday service and will be happy to speak with you about ushering. Ushers are often the first greeters to meet when they visit Saint Mark’s. The ushers’ welcome and directions are the first impressions our guests have. Ushers are key volunteers. Please volunteer and help Saint Mark’s Church grow.
Volunteer to Join Our Audio/Visual Team
If you are interested in serving on our Audio/Visual team, please contact; Kelly Harris, in the church office: kharris@saintmarks.com. This is a great opportunity for student volunteers to earn community service hours. We will assist you in the training process. Just be eager to learn!
