In Response to the Killings at Robb Elementary School: A Prayer from The Book of Common Prayer (page 815)
Our Junior Warden, Harry Richardson, suggests this prayer from The Book of Common Prayer: O God, You made us in your own image and redeemed us through Jesus, Your Son. Look with compassion on the whole human family; take away the arrogance and hatred which infect our hearts; break down the walls that separate us; unite us in bonds of love; that, in Your good time, all nations and races may serve You in harmony around Your heavenly throne; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Anthem: Sunday Service – 10:30 am (5/29)
How Lovely are the Messengers by Felix Mendelssohn, 1809-1847, is this Sunday’s Anthem. “How lovely are the messengers that preach us the gospel of peace. To all the nations is gone forth the sound of their words, throughout all the lands their glad tidings.” This gently flowing piece from Mendelssohn’s St. Paul’s Oratorio expresses the importance of those who spread God’s Word.
