Faithful members of St Mark Church,
Good morning to all of you.
Today I am writing this note to make my farewells to you and thank
you.
It’s been an honor for me to have worked at your parish as a member
of the clergy staff, during this time of transition.
I came to work here. You welcomed me and my wife in your
community. You were very supportive and encouraging to us.
I have been here for just one year, and I am grateful for a wonderful
experience. It’s been a short but amazing time.
Every time I had to travel from Lake Worth to Fort Lauderdale, I was
excited about the spiritual activities of worship and fellowship because
I knew they would be blessed moments.
I would like to thank all the members of the vestry who really
worked hard to face the challenges, and anxiety of the waiting time
until this step when you have chosen a new rector for the parish.
I would like to thank all of the members of the 8:00 o’clock service,
who have been a part of a wonderful journey. I am thankful to you for
tolerating my French and Créole accent.
Also, it’s been a pleasure and a privilege to have worked
alongside Father Harvey to facilitate a smooth transition.
I have faith in your bright future. I wish you good luck.

I don’t know what’s next for me, but I certainly hope it involves people
as kind as you.
May the grace of God be with you always.
Thank you very much.

Father Sonley Joseph
