A Message from our Rector,
Father Grant Wiseman
It is hard to believe that the summer is ending and we are about to begin another school year at Saint Mark’s. The teachers begin meeting next week and the students come the following week. There have been many changes over the summer, and you will soon be able to see the fruits of our labors. The maintenance staff have been incredibly busy, and the parish hall should be ready for our use once again by the time school starts. This will mean that we will be having a Church work day where we will invite everyone to come help us with the cleaning and organizing of the kitchen, perhaps replanting some of our gardens and other things as we prepare for our program year. The new meeting space is close to being ready for use, and we hope to have volunteers work in the parish office area, answering phones.
We have had an amazing number of baptisms this year, with more scheduled. It is exciting to be in a place where we have more baptisms than any other pastoral service. That is rare in the Episcopal Church, and we should celebrate what that says about our parish.
Yours in Christ,
Father Grant
