Outreach Ministry

Lay Ministries

The ultimate aim of our Christian journey at St. Mark’s is to respond to the Christian call for action by actively growing in our Faith and spreading the “Good News” through helping others. The Covid crisis significantly curtailed our Outreach efforts, but we’re ramping things back up and you can expect significant growth in this area. Below are some of the many ways that individuals and families can participate include:

Pastoral Care

Overview

Our Rector, Fr. Grant Wiseman, is available to provide pastoral care to parishioners and others in need. You may contact Fr. Grant.

Eucharistic Home Visitors

Overview

We are in the process of training Lay Volunteers to visit home-bound or hospitalized parishioners.

Bags for the Homeless

Bags of blessings

Each month, volunteers carefully pack each bag with nutritious snacks. These bags are more than supplies; they are symbols of dignity and care, passed from one hand to another with kindness and humility.

Food Pantry

Nourishing neighbors

The food pantry is more than a service, it is a ministry of hospitality. Every box of groceries affirms the sacred truth that all are worthy of compassion.

Laundry Love

In partnership with local laundromats,  Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church brings dignity to the wash cycle through our Laundry Love outreach.

True Funds

A hand up

This compassionate ministry provides financial assistance toward rent and utility bills, helping neighbors weather times of crisis with dignity and hope.

Salt & Light

Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
