A Message from our Rector,
Father Grant Wiseman
Dear Parish Family,
I am so excited about this weekend’s Family First Saturday event. We will be going out on the paddle boards and kayaks starting at 4:00 pm. The church will provide the burgers hotdogs and side dishes and we ask that you bring your chairs and drinks. We will buy extra food that can be frozen if not used so feel free to bring a friend. This is one of the great opportunities we have to INVITE people to our church and get to know them in a social environment.
I will be traveling this next week to the National Association of Episcopal Schools Biennial Conference. I will leave very early on Wednesday returning on Saturday. Dr. Spencer Taintor will be leading our final Wednesday Night dinner program and will be talking about the many exciting things that are happening at our School. Again we always order extra food, so if you wish to attend just let us know you are coming.
We are planning our Advent and Christmas programs, so keep your eyes open for upcoming events. The December Family First Saturday will include caroling.
Yours in Christ,
Father Grant +

First Sunday of the Month
Food Collection – (11/6)
This Sunday is also the church and school’s Thanksgiving Food Drive. All donated food items will be delivered to the Pantry of Broward on Friday, November 11th. Our school student council members will take the food collected to the Food Pantry via the school bus. Thank you for supporting this effort!
Sunday’s Gospel: (11/6)
Gospel, Luke 6:20-31, Heaven or Hell
The Sadducees of this Sunday’s Gospel did not believe in the resurrection. So they challenged Jesus with an absurd legalistic story of seven brothers who married the same woman after the death of his predecessor! They then ask, “At the resurrection whose wife will she be? Jesus explains patiently that in the resurrection, their absorption into love itself will surpass mere earthly love, God will love us with ecstatic embrace insofar as we have loved. Our name for this is heaven; its absence is called hell. (Norm Carroll)
Saint Mark’s Nursery is Now Open!!!
