After a three-year wait, St Mark the Evangelist welcomed a new pastor this Sunday! The entire congregation turned out for a single service at 9:30 to celebrate with Father Grant Wiseman. What a joyful service! The energy was definitely high and we were thrilled to see some familiar faces as well as new ones. Father Grant’s sermon was deeply moving; he is clearly devoted to helping us find God’s plan for each of us in a community of love and service. Our wonderful choir led us in prayerful song, and Chris Waite, a gifted and sought after tenor soloist, sang The Lord is my Light by Allitsen.

Many thanks to Pia Delvaille for planning such a delicious and beautifully presented brunch following the service. Fellowship is a big part of the joy at St Mark’s! There are many opportunities for smaller groups to gather and share their interests, but it is especially wonderful to see the larger community all together, sharing our blessings and love and joy for this new era! Alleluia!!!
