Bishop Eaton and Father Wiseman have agreed upon a date for his installation in The Diocese of Southeast Florida, which is Thursday evening, July 14, at 7:00 pm at Saint Mark’s Church. The Reverend Heather Buchanan Wiseman (pictured), Associate Rector of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, in Terrace Park, Ohio, and Father Grant’s mother, will be the preacher during the service. It will be a joyous evening! Please watch for future details.
Support the Pantry of Broward – Sunday (6/5)
On the first Sunday of each month we will collect food items for the Pantry of Broward, which serves seniors who are on a fixed income and/or raising their grandchildren. Please place your items in the labeled box located at the entrance of the church. By collecting food each month, especially during the summer months, we hope to provide food on a regular basis. Thank you for your generosity!
Anthem: Sunday Service – 10:30 am (6/5)
The anthem for this Sunday is For the Beauty of the Earth by John Rutter who was born in 1945 in London, England. This gorgeous piece will remain in your thoughts for awhile! He is known for his sacred choral works and for founding the Cambridge Singers.
Barbeque Farewall for Dr. Kevin Estes;
Music Director and his Family (6/12)
Sunday, June 12 will be the day we bid farewell to our Music Director, Dr. Kevin Estes, his wonderful wife and choir soprano, and their sons Judah and Luke. Kevin has accepted a fellowship in his medical field in Charlotte, NC. Kevin and the family have blessed our parish with not only their musical gifts, but their friendship as well.
The choir will perform several of “Kevin’s Greatest Hits” at the 1030 am service. To celebrate their new journey there will be the church pot luck after our 10:30 service. Bar-be-que will be provided. Parishioners are encouraged to bring a dish that goes with it. We are looking for all sorts of salads, beans, desserts, appetizers, and beverages. Please sign up this week at church or by email to Mike Mullins (mmullins10@aol.com) to let us know what you’re bringing.
Face Mask in Church – Optional
Now that the cases of COVID have thankfully abated, wearing a facial mask is encouraged, but not required. Please respect the space of those who choose to be more cautious.
