Hello Parishioners,
On Sunday, July 31st we will be celebrating a special single/combined service so that we can properly say goodbye to our two interim Priests, Father Sonley Joseph and Father Errol Harvey. And we will gather in the Beitha Mendez parish hall afterward to wish them the very best in their future ministries.
If you would like to join us in expressing our gratitude for their faithful service this past year, we are collecting a ‘purse’… ie., a financial gift to help sustain them as they share their spiritual gifts with new communities of faith.
We have created a means by which you can make a contribution online to each Priest’s farewell gift – here’s how:
- Access the Saint Mark’s website at http://www.saintmarksftl.com
- Move your cursor to the ‘We Give’ tab and click on ‘Give Now’
- Enter your dollar gift in the ‘Amount’ window, then click on the dropdown arrow at the righthand side of the ‘Fund’ window, and click on the last entry in the list displayed, ‘Clergy Purse’ if you wish to designate a recipient, enter the Priest’s last name in the Memo area, click on ‘GIVE ONCE’ and supply your email address, and finally, click on ‘Continue’ in the lower righthand corner
- On the screen presented next, supply your credit/debit card or checking/savings account information, and click on ‘Give $’ in the lower righthand corner
- You will receive an email acknowledgement of our receipt of your gift shortly thereafter
If you are not comfortable with new technologies, you can also convey your gift either by seeking out a Vestry member, or by placing it in the collection plate on Sunday morning CLEARLY MARKED AS TO ITS PURPOSE.
We hope everyone will join us on the final Sunday with our interim Priests presiding (July 31st, 9:30 am), and can find it in your heart to help us express the gratitude of our congregation for a job well done!
